Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Instaworm ("Instaworm," "we," "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website and application (the "Service"), including information accessed through Instagram accounts you connect to the Service.

1. Who we are

Instaworm is a platform that helps businesses find leads, send outreach messages, and manage conversations on Instagram. To do this, we integrate with Meta's official Instagram Platform APIs for account connections, messaging, and webhooks, in addition to our browser extension.

2. Information we collect

We collect:

  • Account information you provide directly: your name, email address, and billing details.
  • Instagram account data, when you connect an Instagram Business or Creator account via Meta's official login: your Instagram user ID, username, and profile information.
  • Message data sent and received through a connected Instagram account, so we can display your conversations and let you (or, where you enable it, an AI assistant acting on your behalf) reply to them.
  • Lead data you choose to search for or import, such as public Instagram profile information relevant to your outreach.
  • Usage data, such as how you interact with the Service, for reliability and product improvement.

3. How we use Instagram Platform Data

Data we receive through Meta's Instagram Platform APIs ("Platform Data") is used solely to provide the features you use Instaworm for:

  • Sending and receiving direct messages on your behalf, through the account you connected.
  • Displaying your Instagram conversations inside Instaworm's inbox.
  • Keeping your connection active and secure (for example, refreshing access tokens automatically).

We do not sell Platform Data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties except as described in Section 5. We retain Platform Data only for as long as needed to provide the Service to you, or until you disconnect your account or request deletion (Section 6).

4. How we protect your data

Access tokens and other credentials used to connect your Instagram account are encrypted before they are stored. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel, and we use industry-standard practices to secure data in transit and at rest.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers who help us run Instaworm, including:

  • Meta, to the extent necessary to send and receive messages through the Instagram Platform.
  • Our database and hosting providers, who store data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Our payment processor, to handle billing - we do not store your full payment card details ourselves.

We do not sell your data or your Instagram connections' data to anyone.

6. Disconnecting and deleting your data

You can disconnect an Instagram account from Instaworm at any time from within the app, or by removing Instaworm's access directly from your Instagram or Facebook account settings. Disconnecting revokes our access to that account going forward.

To request deletion of your data, including any data received through a connected Instagram account, email us at johnny@nousify.ai from the email address on your account. We will delete the requested data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or security purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent for our use of it. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at johnny@nousify.ai.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated to active account holders.

9. Contact us

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to johnny@nousify.ai.
